All Kinds of Treats

My nana says to me "HANA YOU are just too good to be true! You are such a TREAT!" I don't know exactly what that means---but i do like the Rice Krispie Treats we made together. I think my PaPa is a treat too. He lets me help him do whatever he is doing---no matter how busy he is. Over the weekend he let me help him fix my mommys stove. It turned out to be a big project instead of a little one. One time i dropped a tool i was handing him and he didn't even get mad at me at all. I said, "i sorry PaPa" and looked in his face and he just hugged and kissed me. Heidi Grace likes to watch all this action---but nana said it won't be long and she will be wanting to help too.
My nana made a cabbage casserole that PaPa thought was a treat. She did not think i would like it but i surprised her and liked it very much. i think it is a treat to try new things.
I found out that another treat is when i sing. Nana told me that it blesses her heart so much. I hum all the time and make up songs too. When i brushed my teeth i sang about going to see PaPa again soon. Then when i was in the tub i sang about Heidi coughing. i just make up the words when i hear something happening. Nana kept trying to get me to say "yes" more (instead of no) and she made up a yes song. "Yes, yes, mommy---Yes,yes, daddy----Yes, yes, nana......." and then before she could finish----i finished it with "and yes, yes PaPa"!!! Ohhh my nana laughed and laughed and i heard her tell my Papa and my mommy and daddy about it. She told my mommy and daddy that i am a treat---and a gifted musician already! I think i like being a treat and a musician. Treats are fun.... and my life is full of all kinds of treats.

"It is Pleasing to the Lord"

I got to have a sleep-over at Nana and Papa's last night. In the afternoon we went to the park and Nana and i ate a carrot muffin ---we both thought it was yummy and took turns giving each other bites. we like to share with one another.
When Papa got home, it was so beautiful out that we decided to go for a bike ride before supper. The leaves on the trees are yellow and orange and it gets dark early now. PaPa told Nana that i am so smart because when he got me all ready and strapped in to the bike seat---i reminded him (Nicely) about my hat that i am suppossed to wear. I learned that it is actually nana's bike riding helmet in case she crashes. She must speed when i am not around and Papa thinks she might crash---but when she is with me she goes pretty slow and talks with me. All this action worked up an appetite and i ate and ate and ate some more at supper time. I especially loved the carrots and that really made my nana smile.
After supper i had the greatest time with Papa and his tape measure. I would pull it out and go across the room and then papa would press a button and like magic the whole thing would disappear! I just squealed with excitement! It was soooo cool! :) He thinks up the most interesting things to do. He read to me too, and i really love snuggling by him.
Before bedtime, nana and i worked on my bible memory verse----"Children obey your parents for it is pleasing to the Lord." Nana kept saying it but i kept wanting to say it by myself. she told me that i kept forgetting the word obey---and i just said children its pleasing to the Lord. I don't know why she kept laughing. She asked me if i knew what parents meant---and i said mommy. She said "daddy too"----and i just laughed. i love to make nana laugh---and she loves to make me laugh. i also wrote a letter to my cousin Elliot. i think that is my first letter i ever wrote. Nana said that i say Elliot very well. I will be very happy to meet my cousin and play with him and tell him my words. I used lots of big words while i was there and Papa told me i am a big girl that drinks out of a milk cup---not a bah bah anymore.
This morning i went to pre-school and when i got home i told Nana about making a kite. I told sissie Heidi Grace that the kite is green. nana was so thankful to be there at just the right time so she could hear me tell what i did. nana told me bye bye and to tell my daddy the verse i learned. She told me that Epheshians 6:1 is the first verse that daddy ever learned too. :)
